Whether you fancy tucking into an Asian hot pot or a light charcuterie, you can do so with confidence at these Michelin chef-approved Cheltenham restaurants.

Top chefs from across the country have come together to compile a list of their favourite cheap restaurants in the UK.

To make the list, which was compiled and published by Sky News' Money blog, diners should be able to find a meal for two for less than £40 — and if they're rated by chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants, they have to be serving up delicious dishes, too!

Taking to Instagram, Cheltenham's Nagomi excitedly revealed that it had been featured in the list, alongside The Grape Escape and Sam's Montpellier.

The three restaurants were recommended by chef Jon Howe of Michelin-starred Lumiére — which, it was announced on Tuesday 11 February, retained its Michelin Star in the 2025 guide.

Some of the words he used to describe the dining hot spots include 'fantastic', 'fabulous', 'cosy' and 'delicious'.

Sam's serves up a menu celebrating earth, land and sea, with dish prices ranging from £5 to £15.50, while The Grape Escape wine bar on Regent Street offers a variety of cheeses and charcuterie alongside its ever-refreshing list of wines.

Authentic Korean and Japanese restaurant Nagomi, found in Crescent Place, offers a cracking mix of hot pot and grill options that are as entertaining as they are tasty — with each table able to cook their own food just how they like it.

Plus, there's a lunchtime offer that includes a bowl of either bibimbap, Korean ramyun noodles or curry udon, with a mini corn dog, for just £10 — and it's now officially Michelin chef-approved!
