Gloucester Brewery is teaming up with celebrity interior design star, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, to create a new gin brand which will help to raise funds for Gloucestershire blood cancer charity, Linc.
Described by Gloucester Brewery's managing director Geoff Smith as 'a labour of love', Maximalist Gin is a blend of nine exotic botanicals, creating 'an incredibly smooth and balanced gin, perfect for a classic gin and tonic or any sophisticated cocktail' — and for every bottle sold, £5 will be donated to Linc.
Infusing his signature style into the branding, Laurence designed the flamboyant and colourful label for Maximalist Gin and said: 'The design elements are inspired by my love of fine art and rich, vibrant patterns, aiming to create a sense of indulgence and luxury.
'I am particularly proud that this collaboration supports Linc Charity, an organisation I am honoured to be a patron of.
'Each bottle sold contributes to their essential work, marrying the worlds of art, luxury, and philanthropy in a truly meaningful way.'
CEO of Linc, Lou Neal, added: 'This partnership showcases the power of creativity and community coming together for a noble cause.
'Laurence’s stunning design work elevates this product, making it not just a premium gin but also a beautiful piece of art.
'The donation of £5 from each bottle sold is a significant contribution to our efforts, helping us continue our vital work in supporting blood cancer patients and families across Gloucestershire.'
A launch event and fundraiser for Linc is being held to celebrate the collaboration on Thursday 19 September 2024 at Gloucester Brewery's Warehouse 4 — with the chance to meet and chat with Laurence himself.
Maximalist Gin is available to buy now for £35 from the Gloucester Brewery website.
