The ever-unpredictable English weather has been wreaking havoc with our social life recently – but with the easing of more lockdown restrictions set to see indoor hospitality and entertainment venues reopen on Monday 17 May 2021, there isn’t a better time to get out there and support local businesses.

For many venues around the county, particularly in Gloucester, this will be the first time that they have been able to open at all since the beginning of the pandemic.

And with this in mind, Gloucester BID is encouraging people to support the city’s independent pubs and bars.

Gloucester BID is a business-led, non-profit organisation working in partnership to create a safe, attractive and supported city — and this includes supporting local businesses such as pubs, bars and hospitality venues.

Whether you want to sit back and enjoy a handcrafted gin and delicious burgers at TANK, visit one of the oldest known sites connected with the brewing trade in Gloucester at The Fountain Inn, pretend you're in Southern Italy at Settebello, gaze at the docks at Brewhouse and Kitchen, or head to The Pelican Inn, there are plenty of fantastic local hospitality venues to support in Gloucester.
