Gloucestershire based charity FoodCycle will be launching a new project, providing a safe, welcoming space to share meals and conversation to those in need in the community beginning on Monday 26 July 2021.
Taking place at St John’s Northgate Methodist Church every Monday from 6.30pm, volunteers from FoodCycle will be inviting members of the community to share meals as part of a plan to end food poverty and loneliness in Gloucestershire.
Residents in the Cotswolds can help to make a difference to the project by donating surplus food such as fresh fruit and vegetables, tins, dried goods, as well as dairy and bakery goods. These ingredients will be used to create nutritional and wholesome meals. So that FoodCycle meals are as inclusive as possible, vegetarian meals will also be prepared from scratch.
