The brand-new Cotswolds branch of Flapjackery opens this April 2025.

With stores stretching across the south west, from St Ives to Bath, Flapjackery is making its first move to Gloucestershire — and it's giving SoGlos the first taste of its brand-new base in the Cotswolds.

Starting out in Tavistock, on the edge of Dartmoor, Flapjackery was created by friends Carol Myott and Sally Jenkin.

After Carol decided to retire to Devon after a career in the print industry in Surrey, she began baking to help make new friends. Forming a friendship with Sally, the pair filled up Carol's Volvo with flapjacks and ventured to the Royal Bath and West Show, one of the UK's biggest agricultural events.

The tasty Flapjackery treats sold out and now the business boasts more than 70 employees working at 14 shops across the region, alongside a thriving online trade.

Its newest business launches in Stow-on-the-Wold at 11am on Friday 11 April 2025.

Offering the full range of handmade flapjacks, Cotswolds customers can expect tasty twists on the classic oaty treat, including clotted cream fudge, vegan peanut butter and raspberry jam, cherry bakewell, salted caramel brownie, lemon drizzle and raspberry and white chocolate.

Sporting the signature yellow branding, the sleek interiors have plenty of stock on display, accented by wooden panelling, welcoming lighting and exposed stone in tribute to its historic Stow-on-the-Wold surroundings.

Located in the shadow of St Edward's Hall, the spot was chosen for its rich history as a medieval trading hub and thriving food scene, with the team commenting on the Market Square having been a centre of commerce since the reign of King Henry I, 'making it the perfect home for a business built on traditional baking methods and quality ingredients'.

Flapjackery co-founder Carol, said: 'From visitors drawn to its quintessential English charm to hikers exploring the Macmillan Way and Cotswold Way, antique shoppers and locals who appreciate good food, we know our gluten-free flapjacks will find plenty of fans here.'

The Stow-on-the-Wold Flapjackery branch will open daily from 10am until 4pm, with a special launch day on Friday 11 April 2025 inviting the first customers to enjoy samples of flapjacks, fudge and chocolate products — as well as the opportunity to suggest ideas for a new potential Cotswolds-inspired flavour!
