Cheltenham's popular coffee hub and SGGLA 2023 winner, Botanica Coffee Kitchen, is opening a new business on Great Norwood Street this August 2023, with the launch of its latest venture — Sorrel Stores.
SoGlos was invited to take a tour of the new venue before its official opening, to reveal what shoppers and diners can expect when it opens to the public.
The venue aims to be an exciting new community creative space, serving specialty coffee, seasonal small plates, cocktails and wine, with retail opportunities for local small businesses and artists.
Showcasing as many of its in house suppliers as possible, shoppers are able to browse everything from ceramics, homeware and plants to small batch foodie items such as extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and pickles.
On the menu, featured dishes include confit potatoes; sweetcorn ribs; pizzetta; Puglian burrata; heirloom tomato salad; North Atlantic prawns; and grass fed lamb neck fillet; as well as desserts such as burnt Amalfi lemon tart; dark chocolate mousse; and blackberry pavlova.
Sorrel will offer a selection of house made pastries, sandwiches and salads available to eat in or takeaway. It also has outdoor seating — ideal for catching up with friends on warm summer days.
Expanding on the offering of its sister cafes in Cheltenham, Botanica Coffee Kitchen and Arc Espresso Bar, Sorrel is excited to bring something new to The Suffolks, with the community hub planning to host workshops and classes at its long table in the future, as well as welcoming acoustic sets from local bands.
Sorrel Stores officially opens on Saturday 26 August 2023 and will be open from 7.30am to 4.30pm on Monday and Tuesday; 7.30am until 8pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 8am until 8pm on Saturday; and 9am until 4.30pm on Sunday.
