Popular Montpellier pub Harry Cook Free House has reopened this September 2024 after a major facelift both inside and out.

While keeping its traditional look and feel, the fresh, bright new look comes with new food and drink menus, too.

Set inside an iconic building, next to The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie, the pub itself is renowned for its five beautiful statues, similar to the Venus de Milo, all of which remain, retaining the history from when the building was built in 1836.

Dishes include classic pub grub of chicken and bacon burgers, bangers and mash and beer-battered fish and chips. With favourite desserts of rhubarb and apple crumble, chocolate brownie, sticky toffee pudding and vanilla cheesecake on the new menu.

There are buffets for groups of 10, starting from £19.95 per person up to £24.95 per person for bigger appetites, featuring everything from camembert bites, to cheeseburger sliders, artichoke arancini, calamari and smoked mackerel pâté.

Steak nights are also now on the menu, where guests can enjoy two succulent steaks with a free bottle of wine.

Along with the new food menu, guests have a new extensive drinks menu, boasting a wide selection of craft beers including Cheltenham's DEYA Thinking Juice pale ale, ciders, as well as a fresh array of cocktails.

Live music is on the entertainment menu on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday roasts are available from midday on Sundays.

Following the extensive refurbishment six new jobs have been created, too.
