Renowned locally for its food and inviting setting, Egypt Mill in Nailsworth has announced that it will be taken over by Brakspear, the company who currently run The Frogmill near Cheltenham.
Previously independently owned, Egypt Mill in Nailsworth will still continue to operate as normal and will also still be carrying out all weddings that have been booked in after Brakspear officially take over on Monday 23 March 2020.
The new owners, Brakspear, have over 130 pubs, restaurants and inns and currently own The Frogmill in Andoversford as well as The Porch House and Sheep on Sheep Street in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Current owners of Egypt Mill took to social media to thank customers and staff. Owners Philippa and Steve Webb said: ‘The decision for us as a family to sell our heritage, was and will always be a hard decision to make. However, we felt it was necessary to ensure the continued success and ongoing expansion of the Mill.’
