The vibrant Cotswolds food and drink sector is getting a brand-new exciting addition this April 2025, with a popular Devon-based artisan bakery opening the doors to its 14th store — in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Flapjackery is renowned for its handmade gluten-free flapjacks and its brand-new base will be offering its full range of flavours, alongside a selection of confectionary including its fudge, made with pure butter and finished with premium chocolate.
Some of its twists on the traditional treats include Billionaire flapjacks with honeycomb; clotted cream flapjacks; peanut butter and jam flapjacks; cherry bakewell flapjacks; lemon drizzle flapjacks and more!
The new Stow-on-the-Wold store is Flapjackery's first Cotswolds location, with the brand's owners choosing the town for its rich history along with its thriving food scene.
Co-founder of Flapjackery, Carol Myott, said: 'Stow-on-the-Wold is exactly the kind of community we love to be part of. It’s buzzing with loads of really lovely shops and we are very grateful to be one of them.
'From visitors drawn to its quintessential English charm, to hikers exploring the Macmillan Way and Cotswold Way, luxury and antique shoppers and the locals who appreciate good food, we know our gluten-free flapjacks will find plenty of fans here.'
Flapjackery recently opened a stall at the popular St Nicholas Market in Bristol, too, further continuing its expansion throughout the south west.
Born in Tavistock, on the edge of Dartmoor, the flapjack experts sold their first batches at the Royal Bath and West Show, one of the UK's biggest agricultural events — the business now boasts more than 70 employees across its 14 shops and online shop.
The new Cotswolds store will be open every day from 10am until 4pm and can be found on Market Square at Howman House in Stow-on-the-Wold.
