Ever fancied harissa roasted aubergine, spicy Cornish crab sourdough pizza or blackberry cheesecake delivered to your door? Well, your dream might be about to come true, thanks to the new Daylesford Delivered food delivery service that has just been launched.
Prepared by chefs at the renowned Cotswolds farmshop and cafe´ in Kingham, the Daylesford Delivered express service includes fresh organic food from the seasonal café menu – delivered to customers’ homes or businesses within a five mile radius, with one or two hours’ notice.
Arguably the poshest food delivery service in the Cotswolds, items on the menu include smoked salmon on fruited pumpernickel with a hard boiled hen’s egg, caper, red onion and lemon, costing £12, for a delicious start to the day.
For lunch, the Daylesford Caesar salad with Wootton Estate chicken, soft boiled hen’s egg, streaky bacon and seven seed toast costing around £14, is just one of the salads to choose from, for example.
Or, if you are hankering a heartier dish, the grass pastured beef burger with Bledington Blue cheese, bacon jam, pickled beets and crisp potatoes sounds lip-smacking, for £18.
A separate Daylesford Bespoke menu, meanwhile, is available available with 24-48 hours’ advance notice for groups of up to 12 people. Described as taking the hard work out of catering, there is a large menu of starters, sharing dishes, mains and puddings to order from – all using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from the 28 acre organic market garden.
And, as you might expect from a business founded with strong eco-credentials, all orders will be delivered in biodegradable, reusable or recyclable packaging.
