Ring in the festive season with Cowley Manor, as the hotel reveals its sumptuous plans for Christmas celebrations in 2023.
Offers include intimate private dining experiences and full-scale Christmas house parties, where guests can choose to take over the whole hotel, including all 31 bedrooms, for the most lavish festive get-together.
There's the option to host lunches and dinners for Christmas gatherings of up to 36 guests, in Cowley's chic private dining spaces and Garden Room. Meanwhile, the Library and Games Room are available for private cocktail parties or pre-dinner drinks.
This year's festive menu, designed by chef Jackson Boxer, features two dining options: choose between the three-course Christmas menu or sociable Christmas feast menu, where mains are brought out for the table to share.
Starters and desserts are the same across both menus, with stand-out dishes like duck liver parfait with truffle jelly on toast and caramelised white chocolate and dark chocolate mousse.
For mains, feasting parties can pick between glazed ham, slow roasted lamb shoulder, sirloin of beef, or the festive fave, turkey crown — all served with lashings of roast potatoes, glazed carrots and sautéed sprouts and chestnuts to share. Rest assured, pescatarians and vegetarians get their own plated alternative.
While on the three-course menu, main dishes include roast cod with squash and saffron; roast turkey with artichoke and truffle; and Delica pumpkin served with cavolo nero, peanut and turmeric root.
Private dining with the three-course Christmas menu costs £65 per person; while the Christmas feast menu costs between £55 and £85 per head, depending on your food of choice.
For the ultimate Christmas indulgence, retreat to Cowley Manor for the main event itself, checking into the hotel from Sunday 24 to Wednesday 27 December 2023 with prices starting at £2,550 per room.
With every detail accounted for, from presents under the tree to Christmas Day cooking, the three-night package includes a three-course dinner on Christmas Eve, a five-course Christmas Day lunch with Champagne — and the chance to tuck into lobster, and fried Christmas pudding — and a Christmas Day dinner buffet, plus entertainment and festive surprises.
There's the chance to ring in the New Year at Cowley Manor, too, with a two-night staycation featuring a four-course New Year's Eve dinner, Champagne celebrations at midnight and a posh New Year's Day brunch — with caviar omelettes, truffle butter and bacon pancakes, and sausage, egg and caviar muffins on the menu. Quite the way to see in 2024!
The New Year's Eve package starts at £1,770 per room and is valid for either Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 December 2023 or Sunday 31 December 2023 and Monday 1 January 2024.
