Set to 'redefine the local culinary scene in Tetbury with its ethos of relaxed dining in a friendly atmosphere' Bistro 23 launches on Valentine's Day within the historic Ormond Hotel — offering contemporary dining for couples, families and general foodies.
Contained in a restored 16th-century coaching inn, Bistro 23 reflects a commitment to the Tetbury community, with its construction led by local tradesmen and use of materials that honour the region’s heritage, blending history and modern hospitality.
Promising diners a unique and memorable experience, head chef Dariusz Krzan, renowned for his innovative flair, has curated a menu which celebrates the area’s rich agricultural traditions.
On the menu, dishes combine gastropub comfort with fine dining sophistication, with hearty seasonal classics to refined, modern dishes, ensuring every recipe tells a story of the surrounding countryside.
Diners can tuck in to starters including duck spring rolls, moules mariniere, classic prawn cocktail and calamari; mains such as steak and ale pie, asparagus, broad bean and roasted garlic risotto and slow roasted lamb shank; finishing with chocolate fondant, lemon meringue tart, cherry Bakewell cheesecake — or a cheeseboard, for those with less of a sweet-tooth.
General manager, Matt Dellapia, said: 'Our goal with Bistro 23 was to create a space where people can come together, relax, and enjoy the best of what the Cotswolds has to offer.
'From the food to the ambiance, every detail has been carefully considered to make Bistro 23 a destination worth visiting.'
Bistro 23's grand opening takes place on Friday 14 February 2025.
