Located on the edge of the Cotswolds, The Botanist in Bath is the official restaurant for the new series of First Dates on Channel 4.
Previously filmed at locations in London and Manchester, film crews and first daters have been cosying up at the show's new restaurant, housed in the breath taking Octagon Chapel on Milsom Street, since the new series started on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
The Grade II listed building proves to be an ideal setting for romance, with chic green interiors, warm lighting and a fascinating history, with the church having been frequented by legendary romance novelist, Jane Austen.
Fan favourites, cocktail connoisseur Merlin Griffiths and fabulous Frenchman Fred Siriex, can both be spotted in the new series serving up food and drink from the Botanist's classic menu.
Fred said: 'Making this new series feels special, celebrating a decade of bringing people together on the show, but there’s always more love to be found. They say Bath is the most romantic city in the UK and it's true, so what better place to set the scene for romance to blossom than there!'
Ensuring no lover is left behind, the team of cupids at local Botanist restaurants across the UK — including the venue at Cheltenham's Brewery Quarter — are making the First Dates experience available to all, with a special sharing menu for two in celebration of the show.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, the First Dates menu includes three courses, starting with a sharing camembert with sourdough bread and sweet onion marmalade; followed by a sharing kebab with coleslaw and flatbread; finishing with a sharing portion of cookie dough with vanilla ice cream and butterscotch dipping sauce, all for £75. The experience also includes two glasses of prosecco or a soft drink of choice.
Diners can purchase the First Dates experience menu online and take the proof to The Botanist to redeem.
The 10th series of First Dates is available to watch weekly on Channel 4 and to stream on All4.
