DEYA Brewery in Cheltenham is creating the official beer of Record Store Day, with a brand-new brew to celebrate vinyl culture in the UK.

Crafted to embody the spirit of independent record shops, the limited-edition beer is a four per cent ABV pale ale, which DEYA describes as 'vibrant, fresh and effortlessly drinkable'.

With notes of juicy hops and a smooth, hazy body, the sessionable beer is being pitched as the perfect companion for a day of digging through vinyl crates and discovering new music — with the can design also paying homage to Record Store Day with a cartoon of a queue outside a record shop, including DEYA's signature croc mascot at the front of the line.

To celebrate the collaboration, DEYA's Cheltenham taproom is hosting an official Record Store Day after party on Saturday 12 April 2025, with dance group Crazy P performing a headline DJ set, along with DMX KREW, Pocket Sun and K-Dee.

Music fans will be able to get their hands on a pint or two of its new brew on the night, too, with tickets costing from £12 and including a donation to Record Store Day's official charity partner, War Child.

On top of that, DEYA is also releasing a limited-edition Bio Vinyl featuring unreleased tracks from artists who have performed at the taproom, including 808 State's brand new single 'Bubble Car', with copies available exclusively at the DEYA taproom and The Swamp on Record Store Day.

Profits from the sale of the vinyl will go to local charity National Star

Katie Brown, DEYA's brand and marketing manager, said: 'We’re excited to be the official beer partner for Record Store Day, bringing together great music and DEYA. It’s the perfect pairing and we’re looking forward to being part of this iconic annual event!'

DEYA artist, Thom Hobson, added: 'Music has played such an important role at DEYA — pouring through the walls as the brewers brew, passing through punters’ bodies as they dance at our live events and inspiring beer names and label artworks. It helps create this feeling of unity and vibrancy that we at DEYA hold dear to our hearts.'

RSD x DEYA is available now, exclusively from the DEYA online store, taproom and selected record shops.
