Popular Cheltenham bakery and café, Baker and Graze has submitted plans which suggest it plans to open later at night, throughout the week.

The independent café and restaurant on Suffolk Road is currently open until 4.30pm on weekdays, 5pm on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays and bank holidays, but new plans suggest that the venue wants to stay open until 10.30pm between Monday and Saturday and until 5.30pm on Sundays and bank holidays.

If the plans are given the go ahead by Cheltenham Borough Council’s planners, the venue could also open earlier, allowing customers to pick up their coffee and cake from 7.30am on weekdays.

The application centres around the use of Baker and Graze’s extraction equipment, which is used to bake cakes and prepare food. Until now the venue had only been able to prepare cooked food until 8.30pm, which it estimates has lost the business £50,000 in revenue.

Baker and Graze will know if its application has been successful by Wednesday 6 February 2019.
