The team behind Baker & Graze is opening a new café, bakery and kitchen in Prestbury this February 2022.

Taking over the site of the former post office, Penny Blacks opened its doors this Friday 4 February 2022.

The post office, which had been in the same family for 140 years, officially closed in 2019 and had been empty until Baker & Graze took it over, with the café giving the historic building a new lease of life.

The stylish new interior features an industrial look, with part of the renovations being undertaken by Cheltenham-based Eastwood Developments.

According to an Instagram post from Baker & Graze, the menu at Penny Blacks features coffee, pastries and sourdough, as well as bringing back some traditional favourites like dripping cakes, Chelsea buns, cherry bakewells and rose Battenberg – with Gloucestershire’s foodies having high hopes for the new bakery.

Penny Blacks officially opened in Prestbury on Friday 4 February 2022.
