Foodies across Gloucestershire will soon have a brand-new dining destination to visit, as dim sum and ramen company, Phat Boi, is set to take up a permanent residency at Dunkertons Cider in Cheltenham, this July 2024.
Bringing a taste of China to Cheltenham, Phat Boi specialises in ramen noodle dishes and dim sum, selling a signature range of shao mai, xiaolongbao and wonton.
Shao mai is an open-faced dumpling packed with a blend of pork, shrimp, water chestnuts and spices, either steamed of fried; xiaolongbao are the juiciest of soup dumpling packed with a savoury broth and tender pork; with wontons artfully folded into little parcels with a savoury mix of seasoned pork and shrimp, boiled and all served with Phat Bois homemade chilli oil sauce.
All dim sum is meticulously crafted by hand, entirely from scratch, using a mix of top-tier locally sourced Cotswold ingredients, along with imported Shanghai produce, presenting diners with the most authentic experience.
Hungry guests can also get their noodle fill with the three mushroom and truffle ramen featuring shitake, enoki and oyster with truffle oil, served with either udon or soba noodles; alternatively, try the Taiwanese beef ramen with pulled brisket, pak choi, ginger with either egg or udon noodles.
While an official opening date is yet to be confirmed, Phat Boi is anticipated to open in July 2024.
