Fantastic news for local foodies, a brand-new bagel shop is officially opening in Cheltenham this month.
The Steamhouse, which has a cult following and popular shops in nearby Worcester, Leamington Spa and Redditch, has confirmed that it’s opening its fifth bagel shop in Cheltenham – its first venture in Gloucestershire – on Wednesday 13 July 2022.
A post on The Steamhouse’s Instagram revealed the ‘cool old’ location of the new store, which is set to be in Unit 3 of Crescent Bakery on St George’s Place, in March 2022.
Hand-rolling, boiling and baking its bagels fresh every day, The Steamhouse operates from its bakery in Redditch and ships its bagels out to its stores in Worcester and Leamington Spa, where they’re filled to order.
Cheltenham bagel fans can expect New York-style feasts, with combos such as The Reuben – packed with hot pastrami, melted Swiss, pickles and Sauerkraut – and The Vegan Roast, stuffed with fake bacon, sage and onion stuffing, cranberry sauce and crispy onions; as well as breakfast bagels.
Containing no dairy, The Steamhouse’s bagels are versatile for vegan diners, and there are plans to bring a big selection of fresh-filled vegan and vegetarian bagels to the Cheltenham store.
The tasty spot is also known for its deliciously decadent doughnuts, with customers able to grab fresh coffee and seasonal specials, too.
The Steamhouse Cheltenham is opening its doors on Wednesday 13 July 2022.
