Westonbirt’s Enchanted Christmas has become more accessible for 2019.

Following a successful trial in 2018, Westonbirt Arboretum has launched two relaxed sessions for its Enchanted Christmas event in 2019 to assist guests with sensory requirements or additional needs.

Taking place on Saturday 7 and Saturday 14 December 2019, the arboretum will run the relaxed trails which will allow a maximum of 150 people to attend between 4pm and 5pm.

The trail will feature dimmer lights, lower smoke levels and no special effects. Reduced numbers will also mean the trail won’t feel as crowded as during usual admission times.

Speaking to SoGlos, a spokesperson from Westonbirt Arboretum said: ‘We ran a trial last year with the charity Allsorts, which supports children with additional needs. It was a huge success and we had really positive feedback, so we thought we’d open it up to more people in 2019.’
