Gloucestershire’s favourite clown is taking to the Barn Theatre’s digital stage on Friday 29 January 2021, as part of a campaign to get children in Gloucestershire reading more.

Launching this week, the Read Gloucestershire campaign from the charity Read for Good encourages children and teachers to ‘drop everything and read’ every Friday at 1pm.

Tweedy will be reading Nell and the Circus of Dreams on the Barn Theatre’s YouTube channel for the first ‘Dear Gloucestershire, Drop Everything and Read’ event this Friday.

CEO of the Barn Theatre, Iwan Lewis, said: ‘Over 90 schools have signed up to the campaign, approximately 36,000 children and young people, as a theatre we are pleased to be doing our bit to bring people together, if only online for now.’

To see Tweedy’s performance, tune into the Barn Theatre’s YouTube channel at 1pm on Friday 29 January 2021.
