Celebrating the bank holiday weekend and gearing up for an exciting summer of family activities in Gloucester, get ready to be transported into the enchanting worlds of two cinematic masterpieces in a FREE outdoor film screening event this March 2024.
Kings Square in the city centre is preparing to host an epic line-up of family movies, with stacks of silliness in The LEGO Movie and mega musical melodies in The Greatest Showman.
Forming part of the plans to continue
rejuvenating the city centre, this is the first event being arranged as part of
a comprehensive marketing campaign for five key city sites including, Kings Square, St Oswalds Retail Park, Eastgate Shopping Centre, King's Walk and The
Forum — its £107 million development.
Kick off the Easter Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday 30 March by pulling up one of the free deckchairs on offer for the first showing that takes audiences into the LEGO world, where everything is entirely made of the famous toy bricks, at 12.30pm.
Follow fearless protagonist Emmett Brickowski, voiced by action movie favourite, Chris Pratt, as he finds himself entangled in a quest to save the world as he knows it from the evil villain, Will Ferrell's Lord Business.
With an unexpected cameo from Batman and a stacked cast of Hollywood stars including Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Elizabeth Banks and Jonah Hill, this animated flick is entertaining for kids and adults of all ages and is not to be missed.
Then, for those who can't get 'Everything is Awesome' out of their heads, the songs of The Greatest Showman are sure to get toes tapping and hands clapping.
