Penguin fans in the Cotswolds have the chance to feed Spike, the world's most popular penguin, at Birdland Park and Gardens in Bourton-on-the-Water in 2024.
The popular wildlife park has released the slots for its exclusive feeding experiences in 2024, where visitors can get up close to England's only breeding group of king penguins and Birdland's group of cheeky Humboldt penguins, helping its expert keepers feed the flightless birds.
As part of the experience, visitors will have the chance to feed Birdland's most famous resident, 16-year-old Spike, who was crowned the most popular penguin in the world in April 2023.
They'll also be able to see behind-the-scenes at the park, help prepare for its daily feeding displays and take home a certificate after the feeding experience — as well as enjoying the attraction for the rest of the day for free.
There is only one experience per day, with the exclusive opportunities expected to sell out months in advance, so Birdland is encouraging penguin enthusiasts to secure their spot early.
Birdland's Feed the Penguins experience costs £60 per person, including free entry to the park and gardens — and penguin feeders must be at least 10 years old.
