With one of the biggest family law teams in the country, Harrison Clark Rickerbys Solicitors is introducing a new approach to amicable separation in Gloucestershire.
The firm's new Unified in Separation legal service allows divorces to be managed by a single lawyer, rather than having one lawyer for each party. This new method has been created to encourage communication between couples and avoid the traditional tension that comes with contending attorneys.
Partner and head of family law at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, James Gregg, said: 'We understand the emotional pressures and complexities of divorce. That’s why we’re delighted to launch this ground-breaking service – the first in Gloucestershire – to help couples to achieve their shared objectives, without the conflict and costs of going to court.'
Head of family law at Harrison Clark Rickerbys's Wye Valley office, Alex Wilson, added: 'We’re increasingly seeing a shift in the Three Counties of couples wanting to take a more amicable approach to their separation.'
Couples who choose to use the new service receive expert legal advice that benefits both parties, in order to reach a joint agreement on the aspects of their separation.
The firm warns that the method is only suitable where there is no power imbalance and where both parties are in the right frame of mind. Its expert team of family lawyers ensures each couple gets the most appropriate service for them, through a full assessment of interests and requirements.
