Already one of Gloucestershire's top family attractions, Cattle Country Farm Park is introducing even more fun for young visitors with its brand-new play barn, The Cowshed.
All set to open on Tuesday 1 August 2023, The Cowshed offers over 800 square metres of new indoor space, packed with play equipment for children of all ages.
Vibrant with colour and cow print, the indoor play area is set inside a former barn at the centre of the park and features a multi-storey soft play tower suitable for big and little kids alike, a miniature role play town and pedal go-kart track — as well as a dedicated soft play area for toddlers and younger children.
Competitive kids can go head-to-head on the Cattle Run, a timed race track through swinging obstacles, climbing nets and ball pits, to see who can be the fastest.
Meanwhile the main soft play tower is a real maze of obstacles, with tunnels to crawl through, bridges to cross and platforms to climb up. Brave children will love zooming down the steep drop slide, while there's also a wavy, three-lane slide to race each other down, or a spiral tube slide for a more gentle descent.
There's also an interactive light-reaction wall with different games to try, so children can have fun while engaging their brain and exercising their hand-eye coordination.
On the other side of The Cowshed, you'll find Tiny Town — a beautifully-designed role play area with its own fire station, post office, cafe and farm shop for children to work in.
Interactive features in the post office encourage children to sort the parcels by shape and organise the letters alphabetically; while they can pick their own colourful fruit and veg in the farm shop and take orders for coffee and cake in the cafe.
Tiny Town also features its own car wash, which links up to the pedal go-kart track — giving kids the chance to ride through and even fuel up, with an interactive petrol pump and electric vehicle charging point inside.
For littler ones, there's a dedicated toddler area with a smaller-scale soft play tower, sensory floor tiles and a ball pit, filled with stylish transparent balls and illuminated by a rainbow-lit floor.
Kids can channel their creativity with magnetic building blocks, too, with visual prompts to help them build their own dog, bird and tortoise sculptures — or the freedom to totally freestyle it!
For parents and spectators, there's a new GRAZE-to-go outlet and space to sit and supervise while the little ones play.
Cattle Country Farm Park is open every day during the summer holidays and every weekend thereafter.
Entry to The Cowshed is included in the cost of admission to the park and tickets are priced at £12 for adults and concessions, £16.50 for children aged four to 17 and £13.50 for toddlers aged one to three — while babies under one go free. Tickets can be booked online via cattlecountry.co.uk.
The Cowshed play barn officially opens on Tuesday 1 August 2023 and will be available to book for private parties from September 2023.
