Cheltenham Animal Shelter will be hosting its holiday scheme this May, with a week of Animal Days sessions for children aged five to 15 taking place at the shelter.

Spanning the Whitsun half term from Tuesday 29 May to Friday 1 June 2018, the holiday scheme will be formed of half day slots from 9am to 12pm, and from 12pm to 3pm, with parents able to book their child onto both sessions where there is availability.

Costing £18 a session, the morning sessions will be for dog lovers with children getting stuck in with the rescue dogs. Each session will include a host of activities including creating an enrichment toy for the dogs, learning about dog training, behaviour, and walking the furry friends.

Afternoon sessions will see the Animal Experience Smalls and Cats Sessions taking place from 12pm to 3pm, which will offer the chance to play with cats and other small animals. As well as that, kiddies will help with cleaning the animals out and the all-important cat fussing.

Booking is available from Tuesday 1 May 2018.
