Situated down the M5, just over the county borders in Bristol, Planet Ice’s permanent indoor ice rink opened its doors to the public for the first time on Monday 25 October 2021.
Located at The Venue Leisure Park at Cribbs Causeway, with neighbouring venues including Vue Cinema and Hollywood Bowl, the new indoor ice skating rink has capacity for 1,300 spectators, with plenty of opportunity for public skating sessions, ice skating birthday parties, as well as learn to skate programmes.
With it being almost 10 years since the Leisure Rink in Bristol city centre closed, this comes as exciting news to many across the region, with Gloucestershire ice skaters travelling to Link Centre Ice Rink in Swindon or Ice Quest in Malvern – or waiting for seasonal ice skating opportunities to open around Christmas – until now.
Bookings for Planet Ice’s public ice skating can be made now, with ice skating lessons beginning on Saturday 13 November 2021, with ticket prices starting from £10.
