Offering the chance to see what happens behind the scenes of British farms, LEAF Open Farm Sunday allows families the chance to find out more about how their food is produced and take part in a range of agricultural activities for free.
Thousands of farmers across the country will be getting involved in the popular event on Sunday 10 June 2018, including six farms here in Gloucestershire.
Hartpury College in Hartpury, Court Farm in Stoke Orchard, Haygrove in Newent, Scrubditch Care Farm in Cirencester, Greystones Farm in Bourton-on-the-Water and Severndale Farm in Tidenham are all taking part in the event.
Annabel Shackleton is manager of LEAF Open Farm Sunday: ‘From the wheat for our bread and cereals, and the potatoes and pork for our sausage and mash, through to crops for fuel, clothes and even cosmetics, it all begins on a farm.
‘Farmers play a vital part in our daily lives and LEAF Open Farm Sunday is your chance to be part of The Great British Farm Day and show your support for British farmers and farming.’
