Up to six people or two households will be able to meet indoors and up to 30 people outdoors, meaning those anticipated garden parties are now a go – providing the British weather co-operates.
Indoor hospitality in Gloucestershire
Pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes and hotels across Gloucestershire can finally officially welcome customers inside now, hooray – with some rules and restrictions in place.
Choose your circle wisely, with six people or two households now able to dine together. It will be with table service only, so no ordering from the bar just yet. Plus, everyone in the group will now have to check-in on the NHS Covid app.

Indoor entertainment in Gloucestershire
From Monday 17 May 2021, the majority of indoor entertainment can reopen across Gloucestershire. This includes theatres, cinemas, museums, bowling alleys and children’s play facilities.
One of the first shows at the Everyman Theatre, is social distanced comedy from Al Murray, for example.
Cineworld is reopening its cinemas in Cheltenham and Gloucester from Wednesday 19 May 2021. With independent cinemas across the county including Sherborne Cinema in Gloucester also reopening.

Outdoor entertainment in Gloucestershire
From Monday 17 May 2021, all remaining outdoor entertainment across Gloucestershire can also reopen, including outdoor cinemas, outdoor theatre and music performances, as well as sporting events – with capacity limitations.
Just a few of the things to get excited about in Gloucestershire, include outdoor cinema at Cowley Manor, Frank Turner’s The Gathering summer festival and Comedy in the Park at Gloucester Park.
Weddings and life events in Gloucestershire
Get those outfits ready, with government guidance from Monday 17 May 2021 stating that you are now able to attend life events, including weddings, in groups of up to 30.
Travel abroad from Gloucestershire
The ‘Stay in the UK’ restriction has been lifted and people will be able to travel to green list countries, if they permit inbound travel from Monday 17 May 2021.
