Uptown Girls and boys, it’s time to get ready to swear it all over again, as Westlife prepare to play a one-off gig in the centre of Gloucester.
Taking place on Sunday 12 July 2020, the kings of pop will appear at Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium as they promote their new album, Spectrum.
Tickets for the concert go on sale on Friday 8 November 2020 with pre-sale available for those signed up to Gloucester Rugby’s mailing list.
Part of their Stadiums in the Summer tour, the concerts follow the phenomenal response to Westlife’s comeback tour, which has been the fastest selling Westlife tour of all time.
Speaking about the Gloucester Gig, Westlife said: ‘The reaction to our comeback tour was beyond anything any of us ever imagined so we’re going to do it all over again but this time in some of the largest outdoor venues in the UK. The shows are going to be incredible and will include all our greatest hits. We can’t wait to perform at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester.’
The chief executive officer of Gloucester Rugby, Lance Bradley, said: ‘We are delighted to be welcoming Westlife to the home of Gloucester Rugby, Kingsholm Stadium, in July 2020.
‘We have been hosting concerts with great success, at Kingsholm for several years and we are looking forward to adding Westlife to the list of distinguished acts who have performed here.’
Having sold more than 55 million records worldwide, the group is the only to have their first seven singles chart at number one in the UK.
