Tweedy the Clown is launching his very own circus, as Tweedy's Massive Circus sets off on tour across the country from May to July 2024.
With Tweedy blissfully unaware that his 'massive' circus has actually shrunk and is now tiny, the show is sure to feature his signature slapstic antics and physical comedy, alongside a full cast of performers yet to be announced.
It's the first time in over 15 years that Tweedy won't be starring in Gloucestershire institution Giffords Circus's production, as he brings his own circus to audiences across the country.
The news comes after Tweedy starred in the title role at the Everyman Theatre's pantomime, Mother Goose, for the first time ever in 2023 — with the much-loved clown also starring in classic Shakespeare comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Everyman in March 2024.
Tweedy's Massive Circus opens this May 2024, starting in the grounds of The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon on Friday 24 May 2024, before hitting the road to take in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and London, with the final performance taking place on Sunday 28 July 2024.
The full tour dates are yet to be revealed, but eager fans can sign up for priority ticket access now.
