Brand new for 2021, On:Song is launching a series of weekly singing and wellbeing sessions in Gloucestershire on Monday 4 January 2021 – all to enjoy from the comfort and safety of your home.
HUM will provide weekly singing and wellbeing sessions that are run through Zoom, to help bring people together even during self-isolation and is a chance to use singing to enhance wellbeing; reduce stress; and improve physical, mental and emotional health.
HUM sessions will be led by experienced vocal coaches and wellbeing professionals, welcoming experienced singers and complete beginners alike to its online community.
Each week there’ll be a 40-minute wellbeing lunchtime session, with breath and vocal work to help boost confidence and improve overall wellbeing, as well as a 50-minute evening singing session designed to introduce musical themes and ideas from different cultures, genres and regions.
There are three contract-free memberships available – the basic costs £10 per month for access to online signing sessions; standard is £18 per month and gives access to two sessions per week, plus content on demand, additional singing material and discounted access to events in-between sessions; with the complete membership costing £25 per month, including everything the standard membership offers, along with even more singing material and additional singing events included in the price.
Gloucestershire-based co-founder of On:Song, George Bell, said: ‘It’s like a gym membership. But instead of conditioning for the body, it is conditioning for the mind, and instead of lifting weights, it is singing!’
Formerly based in London, On:Song has recently moved to Gloucestershire and set up HUM after receiving a grant from the government’s Culture Recovery Fund. HUM sessions start on Monday 4 January 2021, but anyone signing up in December can use the code ‘Earlybird’ to receive special December content.
