Great news for Cheltenham's nightlife scene as Epic Bars and Clubs, which runs the town's Home & Botanic nightclub, takes over the former Revolution bar on Clarence Parade.
Having only closed on Sunday 3 November, the iconic, Grade II-listed former church building won't stay empty for long, with Epic revealing its plans to reopen the bar under its new name, The Chapel, on Friday 15 November 2024.
The Chapel will remain open every Friday and Saturday night for the rest of the year before it's transformed with a brand-new look and concept in 2025.
With a talent for renovating spaces into unforgettable nightlife venues, the national bar and nightclub operator is currently finalising its plans for The Chapel — but revellers can expect the same leading entertainment, quality drinks and stunning, themed environments as in Home & Botanic and its Gloucester venue, Trilogy, which replaced the old ATIK nightclub in August 2024.
As well as retaining staff from Revolution, The Chapel is also set to create more than 30 new jobs in Gloucestershire's hospitality sector.
Director for Epic Bars and Clubs, Duncan Squires, said: 'We are thrilled to be able to announce our acquirement of this prominent and celebrated location! Cheltenham is our company's hometown and it would've been a discredit to the late-night scene here to allow it to sit empty.
'We will trade the business every Friday and Saturday night into the New Year, while we finalise our plans for 2025 and beyond.
'The former operators did a terrific job over their tenure here and we hope guests old and new will continue to visit the site.'
Based in Cheltenham, Epic Bars and Clubs is the UK's fastest-growing chain of bars and nightclubs, with 23 venues offering safe and enjoyable nights out across the country.
The Chapel opens under its new owners on Friday 15 November 2024.
