Champion Latin and ballroom dancer and one of the nation’s favourite professionals on BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing, Johannes Radebe, will be cha-cha-cha-ring his way over to Waterstones in Cheltenham to sign copies of his brand-new book, Jojo: Finally Home.
On Saturday 6 April 2024 from 11am, Strictly fans can meet Johannes in person and receive a signed copy of his new memoir.
The autobiographical work is all about growing up as young gay man in a township in South Africa and how the gift of dance transformed Johannes' life, leading him to win multiple championship dance competitions in ballroom and Latin — and join the company of professional Strictly dancers in 2018.
Johannes' celebrity dance partners over the years include Strictly's first all-male partnership with Bake Off winner John Whaite; former British number one tennis player Annabel Croft, who he reached the semi-finals with in 2023; actress Caroline Quentin; comedian and actress Ellie Taylor; and Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley.
His book is also being turned into a film, with musical numbers choreographed by Johannes himself and producers describing it as 'packed with heart, great music, wonderful costumes and big dance numbers.'
Tickets for Johannes' book signing event cost £20 and include a signed copy of Jojo: Finally Home. To book, visit the Waterstones' Cheltenham website.
