Cotswolds celebrity interior designer, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, has been announced as a special guest star of this year’s panto at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham.

Best-known for his starring role in home improvement show Changing Rooms, the famously flamboyant interior designer is a familiar face to many in the Cotswolds, having lived in the area for well over 10 years now.

Jack and the Beanstalk at the Everyman in Cheltenham will be the television personality’s first foray into panto.

Laurence will be voicing the Giant, who lives in the castle at the top of the beanstalk – and has landed by far the most famous line in the show, ‘Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the blood of an English man’.

‘I was delighted to be asked to support the Everyman Theatre and to accept the princely sum of 3 beans for being the Giant – it’s the BIGGEST role of my career!’ Llewelyn-Bowen joked.

‘Pantomime is such a wonderful family tradition, so to be part of Jack and the Beanstalk is a real thrill. We all need to back our local theatres after such a devastating couple of years’ he added.

Jack and the Beanstalk is at the Everyman Theatre from Friday 26 November 2021 until Sunday 9 January 2022.
