Gloucester Guildhall has announced its Christmas events programme, bringing unmissable festive shows and films to the city this December 2024.
Families have the chance to be a part of a beloved Christmas story thanks to The Snowman with The Enchanted Cinema.
Bringing a pop-up orchestra to the Guildhall, kids and grown-ups are invited to grab an instrument and create their very own soundtrack for iconic scenes and characters from the film in a 30-minute workshop, before snuggling up to watch the film together.
The Snowman with The Enchanted Cinema is at Gloucester Guildhall on Sunday 8, with tickets costing £9 for adults and £5 for children.
Then, see the Christmas story like you've never seen it before when Kid Carpet's Noisy Nativity comes to Gloucester.
Described as 'The Mighty Boosh for kids', watch the madness unfold as Kid Carpet attempts to stage a Nativity, but nobody turns up to audition. Roping in local band, The Noisy Animals, to rescue his play, chaos ensues as their demands fly in and he's charged with trying to find six million tinsel headbands!
Kid Carpet's Noisy Nativity is on from Tuesday 10 to Monday 23 — with relaxed and BSL-interpreted performances on selected dates, so everyone can join in.
For more grown-up fun, ska legends Bad Manners bring their annual Christmas tour to Gloucester on Wednesday 4 for a night of skanking, singing and silliness; while Guildhall favourites Hundred Watt Club are back on Friday 13 with a festive burlesque show that's guaranteed to sparkle.
Ballet fans of all ages won't want to miss screenings of The Royal Ballet performing Cinderella on Tuesday 10 and timeless Christmas classic, The Nutcracker on Tuesday 17 December 2024.
Or, if you can't decide what to see, there are Gloucester Guildhall gift vouchers available — which also make wonderful Christmas presents.
Party planners can even hire Gloucester Guildhall's spectacular main hall for Christmas parties, with space for up to 150 guests to dance the night away on its original sprung dance floor.
