Popular leisure brand Roxy Lanes is set to open its first Gloucestershire venue in Cheltenham on Friday 29 September 2023, featuring tenpin bowling, karaoke, shuffleboard, darts, arcade games and much more on the High Street.
SoGlos was invited to take a tour of the new 'booze and ball games' venue before its official opening, to reveal what keen competitors can expect when it opens to the public later this week.
Split over three floors, the Cheltenham venue will be operated as a 'bowling alley/competitive socialising venue' with activities including tenpin bowling; American pool; beer pong; air hockey; duckpin bowling; batting cages; karaoke; basketball; shuffleboard; darts; and a dedicated arcade games floor — exclusive to Cheltenham — as well as offering a selection of delicious food and drink options.
On the menu, visitors can quench their thirst with a choice of 16 different beers and ciders on draught, including DEYA; Roxy signature cocktails such as 'She's Electric' which is a blend of Cazcabel coconut tequila, jalapeño, lime and mango purée and classics including espresso martinis and daquiris; gin serves; Roxy spritz; canned drinks; shooters/shots; and more.
If you're hungry after an afternoon or evening of epic gaming, the venue will be serving up American-style pizzas with toppings such as chorizo and brie, mushroom and truffle and salami and hot honey, with gluten-free bases and vegan cheese available on request; hot dogs and wings; as well as a large range of sides.
Cheltenham will be the 17th site for the Roxy Leisure group following its most recent nearby launches in Birmingham and Bristol, offering something for all ages.
Please note, under-18s are allowed in before 5pm on Saturdays and before 7pm on all other days, as long as they're accompanied by a supervising adult.
Doors to Roxy Lanes will officially open on Friday 29 September 2023 and will operate from 12pm to 12am from Monday to Wednesday, 12pm to 1am on Thursday, 12pm to 2am on Friday and Saturday and 12pm until 1am on Sunday.
