Gloucester’s very own LV14 SULA Lightship is being featured in the new series of BBC2 show Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing!.

The brand-new series, which airs from Sunday 29 August 2021, sees much-loved comedy duo Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse travel up and down the country to some of the UK’s finest fishing spots from the Lake District to the Norfolk Broads – and closer to home, the River Severn.

During the show, the pair reflect on life after their shared major heart problems as they fish. The show first aired back in 2018 and has been recommissioned every year since.

The iconic LV14 SULA Lightship, which is moored at Gloucester Docks, makes an appearance in the series finale on Sunday 3 October 2021.

Colin and Viv Brooks, owners of the LV14 SULA Lightship, said: ‘We had a fantastic time hosting Bob, Paul and the production crew, and can’t wait to see LV14 SULA Lightship feature in the finale of the series.’

The new series of Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing! airs on BBC2 on Sunday 29 August 2021 at 8pm, with the series finale featuring the LV14 SULA Lightship airing on Sunday 3 October 2021.
