For one-night-only, global comedy icon and acclaimed performer Eddie Izzard brings Shakespeare’s Hamlet to Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre.

On Sunday 12 October 2025, direct from her critically acclaimed, triple-extended New York, Chicago and London solo performances, Eddie will perform on the blank canvas of a bare stage, letting Shakespeare’s words and pure storytelling take the spotlight.

Audiences will see her take on 23 characters in a very unique performance, portraying men, women, ghosts, scholars, tyrants, courtiers, lovers, fools and poets.

When speaking about Hamlet, Eddie said: 'I have always gravitated towards playing complex and challenging characters and Hamlet is the ultimate. This is a production for everyone, a timeless drama with an accidental hero. Selina, Mark and I want audiences to see and hear an accessible, touching, scary and dramatic Hamlet.'

Adapted by Mark Izzard and directed by Selina Cadell, the show has been nominated for New York’s: Drama League’s Distinguished Performance Award and Outer Critic’s Circle Outstanding Solo Performance Award.

Tickets for Eddie Izzard Performs Shakespeare's Hamlet are on sale now but expected to sell out quickly.
