After a successful and critically-acclaimed world premiere at the Everyman Theatre in the summer of 2022, The Great British Bake Off Musical has taken to the stage in London's West End, officially opening on Saturday 25 February 2023.
Bringing slapstick comedy, warm-hearted storytelling and a new kind of showstopper to the capital, The Great British Bake Off Musical is on stage for a limited 12-week run.
Theatre and baking fans are able to catch the musical comedy at the Noël Coward Theatre until Saturday 13 May 2023, offering plenty of opportunities to see star bakers and soggy bottoms galore as its eight amateur bakers, two presenters and pair of iconic judges get the whole family bursting with laughter!
Featuring a cast of Olivier-nominated actors alongside Phantom of the Opera's John Owen-Jones - with his uncanny similarity to Paul Hollywood - and leading lady Charlotte Wakefield, West End audiences can expect impressive vocal performances and lyrics packed with humour and innuendo at the show that stole Cheltenham theatregoers' hearts.
Endorsed by and created in association with the producers of the worldwide television phenomenon, the stage show has been described as ‘a great big slice of musical heaven’ and ‘has been magically re-imagined into a perfectly formed musical-comedy’. And Paul Hollywood himself is said to have offered the cast a hearty handshake following its London debut!
TV legend and Bake Off judge, Prue Leith, said: 'I am thrilled to bits that The Great British Bake Off Musical is on the West End. It is an uplifting, funny, heartfelt story, which will have you singing and dancing out of the theatre with a huge smile. A theatrical sweet treat. Just what we need right now.'
