Cheltenham Jazz Festival is set to return in 2021 with a free-to-view, two-day digital event taking place across the May bank holiday weekend.
Streamed on the Cheltenham Festivals’ YouTube channel on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2021, music fans can expect to hear world-class shows from a wide range of musical stars including the festival’s artistic curator Gregory Porter, BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Cerys Matthews, rhythm and blues star Steve Winwood, incredible jazz vocalist Cleveland Watkiss and sibling duo Zoe & Idris Rahman.
There’s also a premiere from guitarist Chris Montague, a performance from Broadway star Marisha Wallace, and from pioneering saxophonist and rapper Soweto Kinch, as well as the return of the popular record-breaking beatboxer SK Shlomo.
Cheltenham Festivals’ head of programming, David Gaydon, said: ‘This weekend reflects the breadth that Cheltenham Jazz Festival offers, giving a platform to some fabulous young upcoming artists as well as international stars, and with more exciting announcements to come.’
Plus, there will also be a series of ticketed in-person Cheltenham Festivals concerts at Cheltenham Town Hall over three nights in July 2021, if government guidance allows, with acts announced in May 2021.
