Gloucester's Barn on the Farm music festival is cancelled for the second year in a row, with its future hanging in the balance due to financial struggles.

The festival, which takes place at Over Farm in Gloucester, is known for bringing huge names to the county, with past line-ups including James Bay, Ben Howard, Bastille, Hozier, Olivia Dean, Tom Odell, Gabrielle Aplin, Lewis Capaldi and Tom Grennan.

It was also one of the first festivals Ed Sheeran played back in 2011.

Its last edition was in 2023, with headliners Gang of Youths, Bleachers and Holly Humberstone, but after careful consideration, organisers decided to postpone the 2024 event — announcing the news via Instagram in January 2024, but assuring festival fans that Barn would return with a bang the following year.

Other Gloucestershire events such as Witcombe Festival and Nibley Festival were also cancelled in 2024.

Taking to Instagram again, the team behind Barn on the Farm has now revealed that the event will not be going ahead in 2025 either.

Organisers stated that they didn't want to 'put on a festival that cuts costs to survive' and that they 'need more time to figure out how to step forward in the current climate.'

They also promised that Barn would make a big comeback, thanking fans and saying that 'the past 14 years have provided some of the best moments of [their] lives.'
