Gloucestershire movie fans can prepare for a fun, new way to enjoy films on the big screen, when a new American-style drive-in cinema opens in nearby Bristol, this September.
Tickets are on sale now from seetickets.com, costing £35 per car.
Organisers have revealed there will be seven film screenings shown on a huge screen at the new Bristol @TheDriveIn, located at Bristol Airport, BS48 3DY, from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 September 2020 – and all within social distancing guidelines.
Movie titles range from family-friendly flicks to late-night shows for the grown ups, including Grease, Back to the Future, Joker, Toy Story, Lion King and A Star is Born.
Bristol features as part of a national @TheDriveIn summer tour, which also includes Birmingham, Cardiff and London, with stand-up comedy, bingo and even a silent car disco before the movies start.
A huge outdoor LED screen will provide the visuals and sound will be broadcast straight to car radios, with screenings adhering to social distancing measures by ensuring cars are parked two metres away from each other.
Plus, snacks and drinks can be ordered using an app and delivered at a safe distance by waiters on roller skates, for an authentic drive-in feel.
Tickets cost £35 per car and are on sale now from seetickets.com.
