Cheltenham law firm, Willans LLP solicitors, is partnering with Pride in Gloucestershire for the second year running, demonstrating its continuing support for the LGBTQ+ community in the county.
Willans is sponsoring the main stage at the flagship Pride event in Cheltenham, which takes place at Imperial Gardens on Saturday 17 May 2025 and features a stacked lineup of live music, the Pride Dog Show and the Pride March, where members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community take to the streets to promote acceptance and equality for all.
The firm will also have a stand at the event, with lawyers on hand to provide advice on everything from parental responsibility and child arrangements in same-sex marriages, to cohabitation agreements and wills for LGBTQ+ couples.
Lawyers from Willans will also be at the Pride in Gloucestershire HUB in the week leading up to Pride in Gloucester on Saturday 13 September 2025, to answer questions and support LGBTQ+ parents and parents of LGBTQ+ children on legal matters, as well as hosting a stand in Gloucester Park on the day and speaking at the event.
Pride in Gloucestershire’s events director and trustee, Joseph-James Picknell, said: 'We are delighted to welcome Willans on board once
again as partners of Pride in Cheltenham and Pride in Gloucestershire. It’s
really important for us to have the support of local businesses and
particularly those who share our passion for raising awareness of LGBTQ+ issues
and promoting inclusivity across our county.'
Wills, trusts and probate team partner and LGBTQ+ champion at Willans, Tom O’Riordan, said: 'As an LGBTQ+ lawyer, I feel very privileged to work for a firm that actively demonstrates its allegiance with the community. Not only does Pride in Cheltenham help to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues, but it also advocates everybody’s right to live their life with equal opportunities and express themselves and their unique identity.'
Willans’ managing partner Bridget Redmond added: 'We are once again proud to partner with Pride in Cheltenham and Pride in Gloucestershire to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community as both members and allies. Equality and inclusion are values that resonate with us as lawyers and as a business. We are looking forward to taking part in this celebration and to meeting clients old and new.'
