The hugely popular Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is coming to Bristol, just over the Gloucestershire border, this April 2022.

The family-friendly exhibition will allow art lovers to step inside some of Van Gogh’s most famous paintings, such as ‘Sunflowers’, ‘The Bedroom’ and the iconic ‘Starry Night.’

With sound and light installations, floor-to-ceiling projections and even a virtual reality ‘day in the life of Van Gogh’, the event promises ‘total artistic immersion’ and uses cutting-edge technology to bring his works to life – with Time Out London describing the exhibition as a ‘retina-battering, virtual-reality post-Impressionist extravaganza.’

The exhibition has even been featured in popular Netflix show Emily in Paris.

The whole experience takes just over an hour, with tickets costing from £22 for adults and £14 for children.

The location of the Bristol exhibition is being kept secret for now, but is due to open in April 2022, with entry available from 10am to 7pm on weekdays and 9am to 9pm at the weekend.

Tickets for Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience in Bristol go on sale on Tuesday 22 February 2022 at 12pm.
