For the first time since 2019, Three Choirs Festival is back in Gloucester this summer 2023 — and music lovers can get their hands on tickets now.
Taking place from Saturday 22 to Saturday 29 July 2023, the festival brings renowned classical musicians from all over the world to the cathedral city to perform with talented singers from Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester.
Highlights include performances from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Flowers Band, the Corelli Orchestra, Coracle, the ORA Singers, the Fidelio Trio and many more, with this year's event also celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gloucestershire composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams, with a series of themed events.
Many of this year's concerts take place in and around Gloucester Cathedral, with tickets costing from as little as £10.
There are a variety of events taking place at other venues across Gloucestershire, too, including Gloucester Guildhall, St Mary De Crypt, the Old Bishop's Palace Garden, Holy Trinity Church in Longlevens, Cirencester Parish Church, All Saints Church and the Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham, with tickets starting at £10.
Three Choirs Festival is launching a brand-new Youth Membership for 2023, giving those aged 10 to 25 the opportunity to get tickets for many of this year's concerts for just £5 — with under 25s able to attend many events for free.
While tickets to the festival's dedicated family events cost from £5 to £8 per child, with under fives able to attend for free and further discounts available for those on Universal Credit.
Festivalgoers heading to the cathedral can even book a pre-concert dinner in the King's School dining hall from 6pm each day, too, with two courses and a glass of wine, soft drink, tea or coffee costing £27 per person.
