Horror fans in Gloucestershire will be disappointed that the popular Halloween attraction Frightmare at Over Farm is cancelled for 2020.

A statement from the organisers explained that due to the current restrictions and the uncertainty over the coming months, planning for the event had become impossible.

Instead, from Friday 2 to Saturday 31 October 2020, Over Farm will host The Walk, an outdoor walking trail through horror-themed sets with creatures and monsters, which allows for social distancing.

According to Over Farm’s website, performers at the event will maintain at least three-metres distance from spectators to ‘reduce the risk of transmission from their primal screams or your actual screams!’

There will also be a bar, food outlets and a stage with live performers inside a ventilated barn, where thrill-seekers can relax for up to an hour after completing the walking trail.

Tickets for The Walk will be limited, with 30-minute timeslots available to book as a family bubble. Tickets cost £17 on Wednesday and Thursday, or £19 on Friday and Saturday and can be booked online in advance.
