Expected to sell out quickly, Gloucester’s Tall Ships and Adventure Festival is offering free entry to 20 members of the Armed Forces and their guests.
The maritime celebration takes place between Saturday 25 May and Monday 27 May 2019 at Gloucester Docks and offers the chance to see incredible tall ships such as the Grayhound and the Matthew, as well as live water battle re-enactments, and even the opportunity to meet a pirate or two!
To take advantage of the free ticket offer, servicemen and women can apply for the tickets through the Tickets for Troops website. It provides free tickets to sports, music, theatre, entertainment and cultural events for the troops as a small recognition of their service to the country.
There are 20 pairs of tickets available in total.
Jason Smith, chief executive of festival organisers Marketing Gloucester, said: ‘We are lucky to feature members of the Armed Forces as part of this year’s festival including a fantastic performance by the Royal Marines Band Service on the Monday, so it felt only right to give something back by offering the free passes to Ticket for Troops.’
Alternatively, GL card holders can also enjoy 20 per cent off the price of the ticket.
