Following on from its success in 2018, The SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards are making a return in 2019, featuring some exciting new categories.
Launched as part of SoGlos’s 10-year-anniversary in 2017, the ceremony has quickly cemented its position as the definitive awards event of its kind – recognising and celebrating the very best lifestyle businesses and individuals in and around our amazing county.
In 2019, returning for its second year, the awards will include three brand-new categories for Wedding Venue of the Year, Wedding Supplier of the Year and Hero of the Year.
The hero category will be open to nominations from individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to Gloucestershire through their work in the charity, sport or business arena; while the wedding venue category will be open to nominations from venues including hotels, stately homes, barns, castles, historic venues, and gardens.
In 2018, more than 300 leading local businesses nominated themselves across the 20 categories, with a chosen shortlist of the best 200 going to public vote throughout April 2018. The level of interest, support and excitement was phenomenal, with 20,966 votes flooding in by the closing date.
Next year’s event takes place on Thursday 16 May 2019 in the impressive historic setting of Gloucester Cathedral.
