A popular pit zone allowing people to get up-close and personal to a series of exciting aircraft, is returning to the Royal International Air Tattoo for 2019.
The pit area will be open on Friday 19 July 2019 and is where flying aircraft are parked before and after their displays.
Helen Webb is head of marketing: ‘Exclusive access to the ‘pit area’ proved hugely popular in 2016 and we’re delighted to re-introduce it on the Friday of the airshow.
‘It’s a great opportunity for visitors to receive a more intimate view of some of the aircraft that are participating in the flying display.’
The area won’t be accessible on the Saturday or Sunday of the airshow, but plenty of other exciting exhibits will be available for the 2019 Air Tattoo’s weekend visitors.
Taking on the theme of ‘Air and Space: Inspiring the Next Generation Air Force’, the 2019 Royal International Air Tattoo will welcome air arms from around the world, alongside interactive displays in the ‘Techno Zone’ which demonstrate how space technology is developed and used to counter threats.
