The last five years has seen Gloucester-based artist Tash Frootko transform the city of Gloucester with her unique rainbow makeovers.
She has spruced up many tired streets across the city with her rainbow project, including St Mark Street; Nettleton Road, St Kilda Parade and Station Road — affectionately known as Rainbow Square; and Hopewell Street.
With the vision of wanting to create an 'outdoor art gallery', Tash has revealed the next street to receive the Rainbow treatment will be Tredworth High Street.
Tash said: 'I am super excited to announce my transformation project for 2024 — 'High Street Tredworth Reimagined'. It has been months in the planning: gaining permissions, funding and engaging with as many of the community as I can, including all of the schools in Barton and Tredworth.
'Over the coming months you will see the street turn into an outdoor art gallery with multiple walls covered in stunning murals and painted houses in between!'
With the artists set to start creating from Tuesday 19 March 2024, the three-month long mass-scale project will include vibrantly painted houses, a community garden and a series of wall murals painted by local, national and international artists, all carefully selected by organiser Tash.
As part of the project, Tash is hosting a series of 10 free workshops, where visitors will get the chance to meet the artists and create their own artwork, too.
Workshops will run on Saturdays from 10am on Tredworth High Street and will include stencil making, spray painting, signwriting, collage and willow sculpting — see Tash Frootke's website for more details.
